What to do after 12th class is one of the most interesting yet important decisions in a student’s life. Along with being important, it is also one of the toughest decisions especially considering today’s scenario.

What to do after 12th class?

Science Stream

If you have completed your 12th with Science stream, depending upon your interests, here are the options that you have.

  • B.E/ B. Tech/ Engineering: Post their 12th class, a majority of students opt for engineering. This is a great option if you are interested and don’t choose this option just to follow the crowd. You can go for computer science, electronics, electrical, chemical, aeronautics etc. considering your interests.

  • Medical: If being a doctor is your passion, go for the medical field. However, you need physics, chemistry and biology as your subjects for this.

  • B.Sc.: Bachelor of Science is yet another option that you have. You can do B.Sc. in various subjects like mathematics, computer science, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, food science, tourism and a lot more.

  • Architecture: After completing your 12th in Science, architecture is yet another option that you have.

  • Other options: Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), go for defense services through NDA.


Commerce Stream

After 12th commerce, here are the options for you.

  • CA (Chartered Accountant) or CS (Company Secretary): This is a great option to consider post 12th commerce.

  • B.Com/ B.Com (Hons.): This is one of the most common options chosen by 12th commerce students.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

  • LLB


Arts Stream

If you have completed your 12th in Arts stream, following are some great opinions for you.

  • BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts): If you have an artistic bent of mind, this is a great option for you.

  • B.A: You can pursue your Bachelor of Arts degree in your choice of subject like languages, journalism, history, psychology, political science, sociology etc.
